ALT is an analog soundscape synthesizer designed to expand the realms of sound design, through intricate motion.
it generates a rich sound that you can control using sliders and a pin matrix.
ALT has eyes and ears: two light sensors and a built-in microphone that allow for spontaneous sound modulation based on its environment.
ALT hosts five voices, each with different waveform shaping possibilities, each offering stereo panning, enabling a rich, spatial audio experience.
voices can be free (linear pitch) or follow notes.
a harmonic quantizer lets you chose scales, and play beautiful melodies, either with the sliders, or with quantized pitch modulation.
sculpt your sound with a stereo filter inspired by the Korg MS-20. it features an intense resonance and a smooth transition between low pass and high pass.
give space to your sound with a wild stereo delay and infinite feedback.
initiate sound motion with a modulation pin matrix.
the matrix has four adjustable modulation sources: two LFOs, one random step generator, one envelope follower; and nineteen destinations.
the envelope follower is called Outline, it can take 4 different sources: the built-in microphone, push buttons, external CV or external audio.
light sensors allow ALT to be played like a theremin.
ALT has CV pitch, CV level, and MIDI inputs (TRS or USB-C).
MIDI can be used 3 different ways: voice splitting (4 voice polyphony), monophonic transpose, or tonic transpose (see manual)
